Sensor Network Nodes
CSIRO has developed a family of sensor network nodes known as Flecks.
The most recent members of the family are the Fleck3B and the Fleck Nano.
CSIRO has also developed a wide range of sensor interface boards for the Fleck series:
- Environmental Sensors (Air, Soil, Water)
- Position Location (GPS, 6DoF Inertial Measurement Unit: Gyroscope, Accelerometers and magnetometers)
- Signal Processing (DSP with interface to audio and camera boards)
Sensor Network Software
Our sensor networks are programmed using the Fleck Operating System (FOS). This provides a cooperative threaded programming environment with support for i/o devices, timers etc. The FOS networking stack supports a low-power listening MAC (B-MAC) and a collection-tree protocol with dynamic link quality estimation. Other software tools include a lightweight RPC system, over-the-air programming, static code analysis, memory dump analyzer and host-side tools.
